Uneven chip distribution did not affect tastiness. |
Although I'm not much of a mix baker, I've long had a soft spot for the King Arthur Flour scone mixes. They're not full of junk and they turn out beautifully every time. Well, with apologies to King Arthur Flour, I'll be making these from now on. They're just as easy, and you can fiddle with them any way you like - you could even put currants in them, as recommended in the recipe. I've found a new favorite scone recipe - thanks, Lynn!
Next week: Chestnut Scones, selected by Andrea of Andrea in the Kitchen
Last week: Chocolate Chunk Muffins
I used chocolate chips in mine too - always a good decision :) This is my new go-to recipe as well, and that's saying a lot as I'm usually not very excited about scones.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you are totally right. I used to love the KA scone mix but I think these are easier and better. Hugs, M
ReplyDeleteOK, I should have made these! I've had the KA scone mix and I agree that it's really good, but it is so easy to make scones from scratch.
