TWD: Chocolate Chunk Muffins...I Think

Today's Tuesdays with Dorie post is brought to you from The Twilight Zone. Or the recesses of my aging brain. I'm not sure. I had hauled out The Book in preparation for making this week's recipe. I was astonished to see that I had already made the Chocolate Chunk Muffins on May 5, 2011.

According to my notes, I made them in miniature form and got 50 little muffins. I added 1/4 teaspoon each of cinnamon and instant espresso, for added Mexican flair (it was, after all, Cinco de Mayo).

Yet I have no memory of making these muffins. I can't find a picture. I can't remember how they looked or how they tasted. Did I give them away? Did I not like them enough to remember them? It is perplexing. They may have gone to a MOMS Club meeting. That's my best guess. Beyond that, I remember nothing.

And so I apologize for this non-post of a post, but I did make the muffins, apparently. I hope that someone, somewhere enjoyed them. Please visit Bridget's gorgeous blog, The Way the Cookie Crumbles, for the recipe.

Next week: Lynne of Cafe LynnyLu picked Cream Scones

Last week: Sour Cream Chocolate Cookies

  1. Rest assured they were delightful! They are worth making again--if you add extra chocolate.

  2. K made them secretly and wrote the note in your book. Or else robbers broke in, cooked them and wrote the note :). They were good....miss you :).

  4. These were tasty, so I'm sure you loved them! I'm glad that I make notes in my cookbooks, because there are things I don't remember making either.

  5. Haha that's too funny Jessica! You're smart to make notes in your book, I wish I'd done that from the beginning with this group. These were good, definitely worth making again sometime :)

  6. Memory...what's a memory? LOL...the older I get the more I wonder about that. Guys loved them and I made them twice as they disappeared so fast the first time!

  7. I confess. I ate them when you weren't looking. And they were so good I made more later.

Memories.... like the corners of our minds.....
